SOCIAL ENTERPRISE LEADERS OF THE YEAR!
We are honoured to share that our exceptional co-founders Alesha & Bronwyn Bate WON the Social Enterprise Leadership Award at the inaugural WA Social Enterprise Awards!
For six years, Alesha & Bronwyn have worked tirelessly to build Mettle to be the incredible brand that you know and love today, that creates lifechanging employment pathways for women experiencing homelessness as a result of domestic and family violence.
This work is not easy, and Bronwyn and Alesha shown up, day after day, year after year with tenacity and deep compassion that has touched the lives of so many women, walking alongside them as they overcome unimaginable barriers.
As Alesha said in her heartfelt speech, this could not have been done without incredible partnerships with frontline service providers, the stewardship of our board and the support of our generous funders.
"We are deeply moved by this generous recognition alongside sector counterparts that we look up to with sincere admiration. We are so fortunate to do the work that we do and feel extremely grateful that our organisation has been profiled in this way, helping us to increase the impact we can generate for the remarkable women that we exist to support" Bronwyn & Alesha Bate
Mettle is also deeply honoured to have been a finalist for Social Enterprise of The Year award. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the other esteemed finalists and to the team at Reboot for winning this award, in recognition of the complex and impactful work they do to support the reintegration of people from incarceration to employment.
As a whole team here at Mettle, we thank and honour the hundreds of survivors we’ve had the privilege to walk alongside – women who show their Mettle, their courage, strength, and resilience and who inspire us every single day.
